Micro Focus COBOL for JVM introduces a unique, high-performance COBOL
environment for developing COBOL applications to be deployed in a Java
framework such as the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) or a Java Enterprise Edition
(JEE) application server. In addition to using Visual COBOL for Eclipse for
applications deployed as native code, it's also the IDE for developing COBOL
JVM applications with debugging support for both traditional or
object-oriented COBOL applications for the JVM.
Visual COBOL for Eclipse also includes enhanced compatibility with extend
making it easier for many existing extend applications to be migrated to
Visual COBOL.

In the run-up to the next Cloud Expo, 7th Cloud Expo (November 1–4, 2010)
being held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley, it's time
to give my earlier list a complete overhaul.
Here, accordingly, is an expanded list of the most active players in the
Cloud Ecosystem.
I have increased it from the 'mere' 150 I identified back in January of this
year, to 250, testimony – as if any were needed! – to the fierce and
continuing growth of the "Elastic IT" paradigm throughout the world of
enterprise computing.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has added Read Replicas to its Relational Database
Service (RDS) to make it easier to scale MySQL deployments to meet the
performance demands of high-traffic web applications.
Read Replicas lets users create one or more copies of a MySQL Database
Instance and an application serve read traffic from the multiple replicas.
They can create or delete replicas in minutes using the point-and-click
interface of the AWS Management Console.

I personally don't use email anymore; I communicate through "Twitter."
We don't do press releases unless we have to; we tweet stories to our roughly 12,000 followers in 8 channels. The news gets amplified to hundreds of thousands instantly.
Even during Cloud Expo, we reach more people by Twitter than the announcements we make through loudspeakers in the convention centers.
I would love to contact the people who are conducting this survey and ask them if any company answered their first question as "don't really consider it."

CloudCamp @ Cloud Expo is aimed at anyone working with, or interested in working with, cloud technologies.

Cloud computing overlaps some of the concepts of distributed, grid and utility computing, however it does have its own meaning if contextually used correctly. The conceptual overlap is partly due to technology changes, usages and implementations over the years.
Trends in usage of the terms from Google searches shows Cloud Computing is a relatively new term introduced in the past year. There has also been a decline in general interest of Grid, Utility and Distributed computing.
Likely they will be around in usage for quit a while to come. But Cloud computing has become the new buzz word driven largely by marketing and service offerings from big corporate players like Google, IBM and Amazon.
