SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/10 -- Kickfire, Inc., the price/performance leader in analytic appliances, continued its rapid expansion with the announcement today it has opened a Northeast District sales office that will focus on the financial services industry. The new office, located in Norwalk, CT, will be headed by Scott Davidson, who has more than 15 years experience serving customers in the financial services, data warehousing, business intelligence (BI) and data analytics arenas. Davidson will serve as Kickfire's Northeast District Sales Manager and will oversee Kickfire's sales team in the Northeast.
Davidson's prior experience includes four years with Sybase, Inc. where he helped pioneer the adoption of columnar databases for financial analytics using Sybase IQ. Prior to Sybase, Davidson worked for NCR/Teradata, responsible for sales of Teradata systems for enterprise data warehousing, BI and decision support to an account list of Fortune 100 companies. Davidson was most recently with BMC Software, responsible for sales and professional services in the East Coast region and worked extensively with Tideway's (acquired by BMC) OEM, VAR and referral partner network.
