DevOps Summit at Cloud Expo 2014 Silicon Valley was a terrific event for us.
The Qubell booth was crowded on all three days.
We ran demos every 30 minutes with folks lining up to get a seat and usually
standing around. It was great to meet and talk to over 500 people!
My keynote was well received and so was Stan's joint presentation with
RingCentral on Devops for BigData.
I also participated in two Power Panels - ‘Women in Technology' and ‘Why
DevOps Is Even More Important than You Think,' both featuring brilliant
colleagues and moderators and it was a blast to be a part of.
The Grid Dynamics folks were showcasing their technology called Agile
Software Factory that pre-packages many popular open source technologies and
tools into a fully integrated technology suite for continuous delivery
pipeline, from code changes to production updates.

Last month, I published an article about a new unified security platform
called REACT (Realtime Event & Access Correlation Technology). All in all,
it received some very positive notices, but also raised some questions as to
what exactly the platform is, and why it should matter.
Simply put, REACT is an approach whereby an organization leverages the
capabilities of several security solutions into one central correlated
repository of security intelligence. For instance, key information from an
Access Management tool (such as SaaS SSO logins or views of/modifications
on/additions to protected data) can be shared, processed and analyzed through
a SIEM correlation engine. When this is done in real time, not only do you
expand the centralized visibility, but more importantly any suspicious

Worldwide external disk storage systems factory revenues posted a
year-over-year decline of -0.8%, totaling just over $5.9 billion, in the
second quarter of 2013 (2Q13), according to the International Data
Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Disk Storage Systems Tracker. For the
quarter, the total (internal plus external) disk storage systems market
generated $7.7 billion in revenue, representing a -5.0% decline from the
prior year's second quarter and a slight sequential decline compared to the
first quarter of 2013. Total disk storage systems capacity shipped reached
8.2 exabytes, growing 21.5% year over year.
