SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/07/09 -- CPC Strategy LLC, a full service comparison shopping and data feed management agency released its third quarter rankings of the U.S. comparison shopping marketplace.
Comparison Shopping websites like Microsoft's Bing Cashback, Google's Product Search, eBay's Shopping.com and Experian's Pricegrabber.com have become important tools used by online shoppers to compare product prices and merchant feedback from different online retailers. With the holiday season rapidly approaching, retailers turn towards these online comparison outlets to help bring attention to their inventory.
Q3 2009 Comparison Shopping Rankings 1. Google Base 2. Shopzilla 3. NexTag 4. Shopping 5. Pricegrabber 6. Live.com 7. Become 8. Smarter.com 9. Yahoo Shopping 10. Pronto
"Our clients have been very happy with the recent sales volume from Bing Cashback. Their Back to School matching program was a huge success and it's obvious that their PR push has increased their customer base," explained CPC Strategy CEO Rick Backus. "With their revenue share pricing model, there is no reason for an ecommerce merchant to not be submitting their products to Bing Cashback."
CPC Strategy began commissioning the research to provide eCommerce merchants with insight into the main comparison shopping engines. The survey allows merchants to understand how each engine ranks in terms of size/volume, cost, return rates, and overall service. This quarter's rankings are the third the company has released since it began doing the research in January of 2009.
