Zeboo is trying to enter this particular market segment, because of the slow pace mobile games are developing, relative to other technologies that have saturated India. The mobile market in India is still growing, and is likely to expand as more capital comes in created from outsourcing.
The rules of the competition call for individuals, or teams, to create a game using Sun's J2ME. The game can build on an existing title, or can be unique. Criteria the games will be judged by include rich graphics, intuitive game play, code stability, and efficiency.
Zeboo says the contest aims to bring into the open talented Java developers. They want to identify those individuals and companies that have a passion for mobile game development. Zeboo has plans to set up a mobile game studio in Hyderabad, India.
"India has the richest talent pool of Java developers," said V Krishna Polineni, vice president of development, Zeboo. "Developing world-class games requires assembling a team that not only has the skills but has a deep passion for games. As mobile phone capacities accelerate in terms of chip speeds and memory, the promise of truly mobile entertainment becomes more viable."
Interested participants can register by sending an email to [email protected] before January 10, 2005. The name, address and phone number of the primary contact must be included. Finished games are due March 31, 2005, and are only open to developers based in India.

Cloud is the motor for innovation and digital transformation. CIOs will run 25% of total application workloads in the cloud by the end of 2018, based on recent Morgan Stanley report. Having the right enterprise cloud strategy in place, often in a multi cloud environment, also helps companies become a more intelligent business. Companies that master this path have something in common: they create a culture of continuous innovation.
In his presentation, Dilipkumar will outline the latest research and steps companies can take to make innovation a daily work habit by using enterprise cloud computing. I will share examples from companies that have benefited from enterprise cloud computing and take a look into the future of how the cloud helps companies become a more intelligent business.
So the dumpster is on fire. Again. The site's down. Your boss's face is an ever-deepening purple. And you begin debating whether you should join the #incident channel or call an ambulance to deal with his impending stroke. Yes, we know this is a developer's fault. There's plenty of time for blame later. Postmortems have a macabre name because they were once intended to be Viking-like funerals for someone's job. But we're civilized now. Sort of. So we call them post-incident reviews. Fires are never going to stop. We're human. We miss bugs. Or we fat finger a command - deleting dozens of servers and bringing down S3 in US-EAST-1 for hours - effectively halting the internet. These things happen.

The digital transformation is real! To adapt, IT professionals need to transform their own skillset to become more multi-dimensional by gaining both depth and breadth of a wide variety of knowledge and competencies. Historically, while IT has been built on a foundation of specialty (or "I" shaped) silos, the DevOps principle of "shifting left" is opening up opportunities for developers, operational staff, security and others to grow their skills portfolio, advance their careers and become "T"-shaped.
The past few years have brought a sea change in the way applications are architected, developed, and consumed-increasing both the complexity of testing and the business impact of software failures. How can software testing professionals keep pace with modern application delivery, given the trends that impact both architectures (cloud, microservices, and APIs) and processes (DevOps, agile, and continuous delivery)? This is where continuous testing comes in.
Attend this session to discover why and how continuous testing is different from traditional test automation.
