Did you know that you can use Vordel SOAPbox to send a SOAP message onto a
JMS message queue? You can choose to send it as a normal TextMessage, or an
ObjectMessage. But you can also choose to use the "SOAP over JMS Message
Service" proposal to place the message.
Just choose Design mode instead of Classic mode in the tabs in the top-right,
and then drag in a "Messaging System" filter onto the canvas. You might
notice that the "drag and join" configuration of SOAPbox is very similar to
how the Vordel Gateway is configured. So you can test the JMS service in
exactly the same way as you configure the connection to the JMS service.

OneCMDB Version 2.0 is a real interesting concept and product as this may be
one of the first IT Service Management solution developed in an Open Source
mode. It will not replace your Service Desk solution but may help companies
with limited budget or companies which have a wide diversity of existing
catalogs of assets. It is only covering Configuration Management as a process
and in some way IT Assets management. For those who are using Nagios, there
exist some connectors.
This has been initially developed by Lokomo Systems using Java but I’m not
sure how does that fit with the CMDB Federation Group (I wrote a post on the
subject in 2007) if it still exists….(I haven’t seen any indication of
activity since January 2008 and maybe this is a dead project…).
In any case, keep an eye on both…

During June, we have released a wave of new features to our users. Here’s a
quick summary:
Improved add server wizard: Our new add server wizard is always available on
the right-hand side of your management console, and makes it simple to add
new servers or drives using our pre-installed system images, ready to
self-install or with custom configurations.
Pre-installed Windows servers. We now offer pre-installed system images for
Windows Web Server 2008 to get you started as quickly as possible.
Private network VLANs: Customers with several servers can now interconnect
these on a private network, separate from the public internet. This enables
your servers to communicate entirely privately and securely, and will
commonly be used to implement multi-tier architectures such as database
servers behind front-end web servers. Network traffic on private network
VLANs is no... (more)
If you want to learn iOS 6 development, this is a great place to start. The
book spends the first several chapters covering the basics. The author first
shows you how to get your system setup and how to install Xcode. He then
covers the Xcode interface and the iOS simulator.
After that he provides a short primer on Objective-C and then covers the
Cocoa touch layers and the frameworks they contain. There are a ton of them
but the author does a nice job of introducing them. You leave Hour 4 with a
great understanding of the tools you have access to.
The author continues with twenty more chapters broken down into hour long
reads. Most chapters took me longer because I got sidetracked playing with
the code samples. I have listed the chapters below. Their titles are
descriptive enough to give you a good idea of what is covered.
Hour 1. Preparing Your System and iDevice for D... (more)
