End-user computing devices have followed a trajectory of faster, smaller, and
cheaper for several decades: adding better connectivity, more natural
interfaces, but largely remaining a device with a screen and human input
device. This model is breaking down as computation and connectivity collide
with ordinary real-world things. These things often have existing physical
methods of interacting with them that we culturally don't want to change or
no interface at all.

Twitter
Twitter has received more government requests for user information in the
first six months of this year than it did in all of 2011, the company
reported this week. Taking a page from Google, the micro-blogging site
released on Monday its first Twitter Transparency Reportlisting government
requests for user information and to withhold content, and copyright holders
DMCA takedown notices. Google has had its own Transparency Report for the
past several years and yesterday tweeted “props” to Twitter for releasing

Annual U.S. Salary Survey Also Indicates IT Pros Not Immune to the Global
Recession, Especially in Hard-Hit Industry Sectors; Washington D.C. Area IT

SAN FRANCISCO, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Information technology remains a
strong career path, with staff-level IT pros earning a median $80,000 in
total compensation, while managers earn a median $105,000, according to a
survey by InformationWeek (www.informationweek.com). However, the recession
is hurting IT pros, with median total raises of just 0.7% for staff and 1.6%
for managers. And the pain varies significantly depending on the industry and
geographic region, the survey finds. Hard hit areas include Detroit and Los
Angeles, where the typical IT pro is receiving no raise, while Washington,
D.C., still reports solid median raises.

Taylor's life as a hacker began when he was just 12 years old and playing video games at home.
Russian hackers are notorious for their hacking skills, but one American says he hacked a Russian cyber gang at just 15 years old.
The government eventually caught up with Taylor and he pleaded guilty to posting the personal information on the internet, among other charges.
Eric Taylor, who went by the nickname Cosmo the God, also posted personal information of celebrities and government officials, including Michelle Obama, former CIA director John Brennan, Kim Kardashian and Tiger Woods.
Taylor recently became an advisor to cybersecurity start-up Path which helps companies make sure their websites are properly loading around the globe.
