WebRTC is Disrupting Web Communications. Attend the WebRTC Summit & Join In the Fun!
WebRTC is the future of browser-to-browser communications, and continues to make inroads into the traditional, difficult, plug-in web communications world.
The 9th WebRTC Summit continues our tradition of delivering the latest and greatest presentations within the world of WebRTC. Topics include voice calling, video chat, P2P file sharing, and use cases that have already leveraged the power and convenience of WebRTC.
Note: the 9th WebRTC Summit is co-located with 20th Cloud Expo | @ThingsExpo, to be held Oct 31 - Nov 2 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. WebRTC Summit attendees will also have access to Cloud Expo | @ThingsExpo during the entire three days of that event.
9th WebRTC Summit | Building a Self-Hosted WebRTC Project Learn how to build WebRTC applications from scratch, all the while discussing many of the issues surrounding WebRTC development in a business environment. In his session at WebRTC Summit, Rod Apeldoorn, server-side lead with tawk.com and EasyRTC, used EasyRTC Open Source. The added control granted by a self-hosted solution is a key requirement for many WebRTC pilot projects prior to releasing to the cloud. Working his way up from a simple video chat, Rod looked at data channels, multi-party streaming, and enforcing server side control.

The many IoT deployments around the world are busy integrating smart devices and sensors into their enterprise IT infrastructures. Yet all of this technology – and there are an amazing number of choices – is of no use without the software to gather, communicate, and analyze the new data flows. Without software, there is no IT. In this power panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, Dave McCarthy, Director of Products at Bsquare Corporation; Alan Williamson, Principal at ParkerGale Capital; Chris Matthieu, Director IoT Engineering at Citrix; and Peter Vanderminden, Principal Industry Analyst at Flatiron Strategies looked at the protocols that communicate data and the emerging data analytics that bring its full value to the enterprise. The era of Big Data and "Little Big Data" has arrived, and will soon be eating an enterprise near you!

SYS-CON Events announced today that Avere Systems, a leading provider of enterprise storage for the hybrid cloud, will exhibit at SYS-CON's 21st International Cloud Expo®, which will take place on Oct 31 - Nov 2, 2017, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
Avere delivers a more modern architectural approach to storage that doesn't require the overprovisioning of storage capacity to achieve performance, overspending on expensive storage media for inactive data or the overbuilding of data centers to house increasing amounts of storage infrastructure.
Thanks to the plethora of communication and messaging apps available to the average user, unified communications (UC) is becoming more important than ever before. UC is a set of products and services designed to give employees a uniform communications experience, integrating different apps and channels to a singular point of interaction. For example, UC might allow a transcript of a voicemail to be delivered to a recipient’s email, enabling a central communication location that comprises multiple mediums at once.
