Perspctv Turns Its Election Monitor Mashup Over to Marketers

For many Web startups, the elections offer an opportunity to showcase their technologies and reach people who might never otherwise hear about them. Vineet Choudhary launched his startup Perspctv around the elections. The site is a one-page dashboard that gives a snapshot of how Obama and McCain are doing in the polls, the news, the blogosphere, and Twitter, among other things. The site proves nothing about the election’s outcome, but it does provide a useful dashboard for monitoring it from different perspectives. But the election site was just a dry run. The real point of Perspctv is to give marketers a way to monitor how their brands are being talked about across various media. The brief excerpt below should serve as a warning to those who try to get a few extra knots speed from their vessels “on the cheap”. Naval architects design a vessel with a power plant and propulsion system in mind. They may have several different options being taken into consideration, but the general resistance, power, and thrust curves are all prominent in their choices. Open Cities – Government as a Platform

Earlier this week we participated in the latest ‘Gigabit Cities‘ session. This is the name given to the broadband investment Google is making in Kansas City, and the program looks at the innovation accelerating effect this has. One of our best practices is what Cisco calls a ‘Next Generation Cluster‘, which basically means enabling more innovation ‘clusters’ through the use of online collaboration technologies, like social media and video conferencing. Google rumored to announce the LG Nexus 4 at its October 29th Android event

Android With Google’s Android-themed event confirmed for October 29th in New York, a new rumor from evleaks states that the LG Nexus 4 (E960) really is on the way. These leaks align with previous rumors that Google and LG have been readying a Nexus-branded device, the photos of which you can see here. Movius Partners With Monaco Telecom To Provide Cloud Based Fixed And Mobile Enhanced Voice Messaging Solution

ATLANTA - January 17, 2013 - Movius Interactive Corporation, a global leader in application enablement for service providers, has been appointed by Monaco Telecom to implement its CAFÉ platform to replace the service provider's current fixed-line and mobile voicemail services.
