As a member of OTN, developers and partners can access the Windows Developer Center to download the latest Oracle9i software, XML and Web services software developer kits, and tap expertise for developing applications using both Oracle and Microsoft software. Additionally, the Windows Developer Center provides a central point for discussing how to get the best from a Windows environment running Oracle software, as well as education and resources about how to migrate to Oracle's open-standards software.
"Oracle has built a following with developers because of its approach to open standards and platform independence," said Tony Picardi, senior vice president of Global Software at IDC. "Since many companies today have a mix of Microsoft and Java technologies to implement their e-business strategies, it's important for software companies like Oracle to continue to provide for the evolving needs of developers."
The Windows Developer Center on Oracle Technology Network includes direct access to free Oracle software for Microsoft Windows developers; direct access to discussion forums targeting issues relating to operating in an Oracle on Microsoft Windows environment; sample code, architecture best-practices, documentation and SDKs for Web services, XML, and open-standards development; DBA reference guides for Oracle on Microsoft Windows environments; and Microsoft to Oracle software migration kits.

While DevOps most critically and famously fosters collaboration, communication, and integration through cultural change, culture is more of an output than an input. In order to actively drive cultural evolution, organizations must make substantial organizational and process changes, and adopt new technologies, to encourage a DevOps culture. Moderated by Andi Mann, panelists discussed how to balance these three pillars of DevOps, where to focus attention (and resources), where organizations might slip up with the wrong focus, how to manage change and risk in all three areas, what is possible an...
DevOps is often described as a combination of technology and culture. Without both, DevOps isn't complete. However, applying the culture to outdated technology is a recipe for disaster; as response times grow and connections between teams are delayed by technology, the culture will die. A Nutanix Enterprise Cloud has many benefits that provide the needed base for a true DevOps paradigm. In their Day 3 Keynote at 20th Cloud Expo, Chris Brown, a Solutions Marketing Manager at Nutanix, and Mark Lavi, a Nutanix DevOps Solution Architect, explored the ways that Nutanix technologies empower teams to...
"DevOps is set to be one of the most profound disruptions to hit IT in decades," said Andi Mann. "It is a natural extension of cloud computing, and I have seen both firsthand and in independent research the fantastic results DevOps delivers. So I am excited to help the great team at @DevOpsSUMMIT and CloudEXPO tell the world how they can leverage this emerging disruptive trend."
