Optimize TCP to Speed Through the Digital Freeway

TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is a common and reliable transmission
protocol on the Internet. TCP was introduced in the 70s by Stanford
University for US Defense to establish connectivity between distributed
systems to maintain a backup of defense information. At the time, TCP was
introduced to communicate amongst a selected set of devices for a smaller
dataset over shorter distances.
As the Internet evolved, however, the number of applications and users, and
the types of data accessed and stored also evolved. The original intent of
TCP was to communicate data in the form of text across computers; today’s
data transfer is more complex including high pixel images, audio files, and
video delivery.

Seven Common Mistakes You Should Avoid When Handling Java Exceptions

Handling an exception is one of the most common but not necessarily one of
the easiest tasks. It is still one of the frequently discussed topics in
experienced teams, and there are several best practices and common mistakes
you should be aware of.
Here are a few things you should avoid when handling exceptions in your
application.
Mistake 1: Specify a java.lang.Exception or java.lang.Throwable
As I explained in one of my previous posts, you either need to specify or
handle a checked exception. But checked exceptions are not the only ones you
can specify. You can use any subclass of java.lang.Throwable in a throws
clause. So, instead of specifying the two different exceptions that are
thrown by the following code snippet, you could just use the

Cloud providers like AWS have proven to be a viable option for running mainframe application workloads. The most effective method to exploit the value of Unisys mainframe applications and data is a transformative migration to modern systems frameworks in AWS, reusing as much of the original application source as possible. Execute a discover, design, modern, test, and implement cycle to move mainframe applications.
Some mainframe migration tools can keep existing code in place, but expect to replace components and rethink data storage.
Any significant business process that can be documented and best practices identified - will be. Any defined process that can be standardized - will be. Standardized processes that can be codified and automated (through robotic software automation), will be - if the volume justifies it. If the process is repeatable across many companies it will be offered as a shared service on a platform in a cloud.
Like me, I’m sure that many of you nerds have read the book “I, Robot.” “I, Robot” is the seminal book written by Isaac Asimov (actually it was a series of books, but I only read the one) that explores the moral and ethical challenges posed by a world dominated by robots.
