The essence of cloud computing is that all consumable IT resources are
delivered as services.
In his session at 15th Cloud Expo, Yung Chou, Technology Evangelist at
Microsoft, demonstrated the concepts and implementations of two important
cloud computing deliveries: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform
as a Service (PaaS). He discussed from business and technical viewpoints what
exactly they are, why we care, how they are different and in what ways, and
the strategies for IT to transition into and take advantages of these
emerging service models.

DevOps is speeding towards the IT world like a freight train and the hype
around it is deafening. There is no reason to be afraid of this change as it
is the natural reaction to the agile movement that revolutionized development
just a few years ago. By definition, DevOps is the natural alignment of IT

Think cloud computing is just the latest IT fad? Think again.
Forrester predicts the global cloud computing market will grow from $35
billion in 2011 to around $150 billion by 2020 as it becomes key to many
organizations' IT infrastructures.
According to an article on ZDNet, by 2020 cloud is going to be a major - and
permanent - part of the enterprise computing infrastructure.
By 2020, a generational shift will have occurred in organizations. A new
generation of CIOs will be in charge that have grown up using cloud-based
tools, making them far more willing to adopt cloud on an enterprise scale.

Driving Testing in Production Using Streaming Analytics
Getting adequate test coverage in a pre-production environment and catching
issues before the changes go live has always been a challenge in cloud-based
environments. There are different practices to performing testing in
production.

Cloud providers like AWS have proven to be a viable option for running mainframe application workloads. The most effective method to exploit the value of Unisys mainframe applications and data is a transformative migration to modern systems frameworks in AWS, reusing as much of the original application source as possible. Execute a discover, design, modern, test, and implement cycle to move mainframe applications.
Some mainframe migration tools can keep existing code in place, but expect to replace components and rethink data storage.
