Freeze the Pond vs Take the Hill: Two Metaphors for Enterprise Agile
Transformation
It is ironic, but perhaps not unexpected, that many organizations who want
the benefits of using an Agile approach to deliver software use a waterfall
approach to adopting Agile practices: they form plans, they set milestones,
and they measure progress by how many teams they have engaged. Old habits die
hard, but like most waterfall software projects, most waterfall-style Agile
adoption efforts fail to produce the results desired. The problem is that to
get the results they want, they have to change their culture and cultures are
very hard to change. To paraphrase Peter Drucker, "culture eats Agile for
breakfast." Successful approaches are opportunistic and leverage the power of
self-organization to achieve lasting change.

Integration in the Cloud: Leveraging the Power of Platform as a Service
What are the new priorities for the connected business? First: businesses
need to think differently about the types of connections they will need to
make - these span well beyond the traditional app to app into more modern
forms of integration including SaaS integrations, mobile integrations, APIs,
device integration and Big Data integration. It's important these are unified
together vs. doing them all piecemeal. Second, these types of connections
need to be simple to design, adapt and configure. Plus, with the
proliferation of IoT, there is an explosion in the number of devices

For a phrase that’s being thrown around a lot recently, what does “Digital Transformation” really mean? When someone says that they want to digitally transform their business, what does one really mean, why do they want to do it, and should they approach this “digital transformation” process?

The Internet of Things (IoT) has evolved quite rapidly, especially if you consider how long it took for little packet-switching networks like ARPANET to morph into today’s nearly ubiquitous internet. Our nascent IoT ecosystem is already populated by billions of sensors and connected devices, hundreds of millions of servers, and thousands of hybrid clouds serving billions of people… all of them perpetually producing and/or consuming data in an explosion of information.

How important is data compression? The sharing of information in a fast and efficient manner has been an area of constant study and research.
