The developments in Google's Cloud Computing segment, especially the Cloud
Machine Learning service, have been so rapid that Google calls it one of its
fastest growing product areas.
Google has been ramping up their Cloud Platform quite aggressively in recent
months. Just a few weeks ago, the Google Cloud Platform opened its newest
zone in Tokyo, increasing the total number of regions they are present in to
six - three in the US and one each in Belgium and Taiwan and Tokyo.
Not long ago, the company announced its acquisition of Orbitera, a cloud

Hybrid Cloud
This general-purpose term seems to provide a comfort zone for many enterprise IT managers. It sounds reassuring to be able to work with one of the major public-cloud providers like AWS or Microsoft Azure while still maintaining an on-site presence.
The IoT continued its toddler-like growth and stumbles in 2016. Here are five trends to look for in 2017 as the IoT enters its adolescence and how to benefit from them.

We're entering the post-smartphone era, where wearable gadgets from watches and fitness bands to glasses and health aids will power the next technological revolution. Last week I mentioned to one of my U.S.-based colleagues that I would be out of office for three days at the Irish National Digital Week (NDW16), taking the opportunity because the event was being held in Skibbereen, just a few kilometres down the road from my home office.
