A recent survey carried out by PEER 1 Network Enterprises found that of the
88% of key decision-makers that do not use cloud computing, 39% said it was
because they don't know enough about it. So, for those who are still in the
dark, what is cloud computing anyway?

than on a hard drive or server at their office. The fact is many people may

HP has started making good on its month-old undertaking to support OpenStack.
Last week it began trolling for a limited number of testers for a private
beta of what it calls HP Cloud Services, which so far consists of
OpenStack-inspired HP Cloud Compute and HP Cloud Object Storage IaaS services
apparently accessible through a web-based UI and open RESTful APIs.
HP says beta testers can expect a mock invoice to test its billing systems
which means they need a valid credit card to start.
