How do you develop client-side code that interacts with cloud provider services using HTTP?
In his session at the 9th International Cloud Expo, Michael Behrens, CTO of R2AD, will discuss how the Open Cloud Computing Interface (OCCI), Cloud Data Management Interface, and other APIs (i.e., OpenStack) can be used to create an Android-based client that can manage cloud resources. The Android developer's environment using Eclipse will also be used to examine and walk though code as it communicates using REST-based API calls to remote cloud services.

Michael Behrens is CTO of R2AD. He is also an active software developer and a current member of the Open Grid Forum (OGF), participating in the development of the Open Cloud Computing Interface (OCCI) specification. He graduated from the University of Hawaii and holds certifications in Java and Android development.
