Chinese Hack Gmail

China of course denies it but the State Department is taking it seriously

Seems we could be headed for another international incident since Google accused China of hacking into the personal Gmail accounts of "senior U.S. government officials, Chinese political activists, officials in several Asian countries (predominantly South Korea), military personnel and journalists" on Wednesday tracing the hack to a place in China called Jinan.

China of course denies it but the State Department is taking it seriously. An FBI investigation is reportedly underway.

Google said it disrupted a phishing expedition aimed at stealing passwords of hundreds of Google e-mail accounts and figures the point was to monitor the contents of these users' e-mails by using stolen passwords to change peoples' forwarding and delegation settings.

China poached Google's crown jewels last year and has already stolen most if not all of America's state secrets.

Ironically, the news came within days of the US threatening military retaliation for any devastating cyber attack.
