Cloud Expo, Inc. announced on Thursday that Cloud Expo 2011 New York, the 8th International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo, will take place June 6-9, 2011, at the Javits Center in New York City.
Cloud Expo - International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo series is the world’s leading Cloud-focused event and is held in New York, Silicon Valley, Prague, Tokyo, and Hong-Kong.
Over 900 corporate sponsors and more than 65,000 industry professionals have participated in Cloud Expo since its inception, tenfold more than all other Cloud-related events put together.

"Cloud Expo was announced on February 24, 2007, the day the term ‘cloud computing' was coined," said Fuat Kircaali, Chairman and Founder of Cloud Expo, Inc. "Cloud has become synonymous with ‘computing' and ‘software' in two short years, and this event has become the new PC Expo, Comdex, and InternetWorld of our decade. Next year, more than 50,000 delegates will be attending Cloud Expo."
"8th Cloud Expo is trending to be both the biggest ever and the best-attended event in the international Cloud Expo series to date, so it is only natural that we should be holding it in the biggest and best conference venue anywhere on the East Coast, Javits Center," stated Carmen Gonzalez, CEO of Cloud Expo, Inc. "If you are not at Cloud Expo New York, June 6-9, at the Javits Center, then you risk not getting the relevant parts of your IT infrastructure into the Cloud in time."

"As we approach the eighth successive Cloud Expo, it has been gratifying to receive the largest number of speaking submissions we have ever had, in excess of eleven hundred, and to see from the subject matter of those speaking proposals how the scope and reach of Cloud Computing is so clearly widening and deepening. Its impact is being felt not only throughout Enterprise IT but also worldwide," noted Jeremy Geelan, President and COO of Cloud Expo. "As a result, the lineup of speakers and sessions at Cloud Expo New York this coming June includes more CEOs, CTOs, and CIOs of top Cloud players than any previous Cloud Expo, and - as every time - we also have our high-energy Special Events program for attending delegates too, with Cloud Computing Bootcamp, CloudCamp @ Cloud Expo, and the RightScale User Conference all tightly integrated with the main conference program."
The four-day event will offer a rich array of sessions led by exceptional speakers about the business and technical value of cloud computing with more than 200 sponsors and exhibitors on the 120,000 sq. ft. show floor and 10,000 estimated delegates from well over 48 different countries.

Moving the Cobol programs to Cloud As Is viable than taking lot of effort to re-engineer them in terms of effort and cost and yet not producing a system that does not match the business capability and performance of Cobol programs. This blog provides few of the options from various 3rd party vendors.

An almost irrefutable fact of application design today is the need for a database, or at a minimum a data store – i.e. a place to store the data generated and manipulated by the application. A second reality is that despite the existence of database access “standards”, no two database solutions support exactly the same syntax and protocols.
Connectivity standards like JDBC and ODBC exist, yes, but like SQL they are variable, resulting in just slightly different enough implementations to effecti...

In nature, things seek a balance that is sustainable. In the case of rivers, if there is too much pressure from water flowing, they either flood or open streams to let off the pressure. Both are technically examples of erosion, but we’re not here to discuss that particular natural process, we’re here to consider the case of a stream off a river when there is something changing the natural balance. Since I grew up around a couple of man-made lakes – some dug, some created when the mighty AuSable ...
