EMC said Monday that it's bought NetWitness Corporation, a privately held network security analysis operation in Virginia that lets security teams detect and remediate advanced threats like insider threats, zero-day exploits, targeted malware, advanced persistent threats, fraud, espionage, data leakage and the continuous monitoring of critical security controls while automating the incident investigation process.
