In the run-up to the two next Cloud Expos, 6th Cloud Expo (June 21–22,
2010) in Prague, Czech Republic and 7th Cloud Expo (November 1–4, 2010)
being held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley, it's
clearly time I gave my earlier list a complete overhaul.
Here, accordingly, is an expanded list of the most active players in the
Cloud Ecosystem.
I have increased it from the 'mere' 150 I identified back in January of this
year, to 250, testimony – as if any were needed! – to the fierce and
continuing growth of the "Elastic IT" paradigm throughout the world of
enterprise computing.

I know, we are all sick and tired of the health care debate. But, while
reading Don Clark's article in the WSJ today titled Chip Pioneer, Genetech
Vet Bring High-Tech Sensibility to Medicine, the answer to how improved
quality and lower costs will be achieved becomes clearer; and the solution
won't be akin to rearranging the proverbial deck furniture on the health care
Titanic. Therefore, I thought it worth a brief exploration.

Thank you all for joining us here today to recognize Jeffrey’s achievements
and to celebrate his graduation from Babson College. If you haven’t yet

Google and VMware have never been particularly chummy but now they're
suddenly each other's new best friend and a little cloud brought them
together.
As a result Google is going to support some of the Java tools VMware got with
its acquisition of SpringSource, enough so users can move relatively
painlessly between Google's cloud, any VMware-based clouds like, say, its
VMForce cloud combined with Salesforce, and Amazon's EC2. It will also make
certain adjustments in the Google Web Toolkit to oblige the effort.

Half of the Cloud Expo 2010 West exhibit space had already sold out during the last West Coast event in November 2009.
