Abiquo Keynote at Cloud Expo
A recent online commentary confirms how far ahead Cloud management innovator Abiquo is of the rest of the pack.
Announcing how the Enterprise Edition of Eucalyptus was this week joining forces with GroundWork, a news and analysis site acknowledged that the Eucalyptus/GroundWork alliance was a response to the convincing lead already established by Abiquo.
"Very shortly, Eucalyptus will have a full-featured private cloud technology with all the things an enterprise needs: policy management, monitoring, fast simple delivery and scalability. Of course, Abiquo already has all that." [emphasis added]
This was a reference to how Abiquo's AbiCloud project became earlier this year the company’s flagship Abiquo product, with a Community Edition focusing on the open source community and an Enterprise Edition to meet the needs of commercial organizations.
The Abiquo solution does indeed already have everything that Eucalyptus/GroundWork have now added.
In under two weeks' time, Abiquo's CEO Pete Malcolm (pictured) will be keynoting at Cloud Expo in New York, at which time he will be sharing with delegates his vision of the next chapter in The Virtualization Story - what it means, why open standards are key, and most importantly, how it will revolutionize the way organizations manage IT.
