The HomePlug® Powerline Alliance today applauds HomePlug member companies SPiDCOM and Gigle Networks for being honored with International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards, a prestigious program sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).
SPiDCOM won an award for its SPC300 “no-limits” HomePlug AV SoC. SPC300 dual-core architecture and a Linux based firmware opens the path for innovative solutions by enabling complete hardware and software end-product differentiation. Gigle Networks was honored via Belkin International’s CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award win for the Belkin Gigabit Powerline HD Starter Kit, which is based on Gigle Networks’ intelligent multi-PHY switching devices and compatible with HomePlug AV products.
Both products will be featured at the HomePlug Powerline Alliance’s HomePlug Pavilion TechZone at the 2010 International CES show, taking place January 7-10 in Las Vegas. The HomePlug TechZone is located in Booth 20301 in South Hall 1 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
All entries for the International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards were judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers, and members of the trade press.
