DENVER, CO and PARIS -- (Marketwire) -- 06/15/09 -- Avanquest Software, a leading developer and publisher of business and consumer software, today announced that the teams responsible for developing its Avanquest SendPhotos all-in-one photo-sharing solution have incorporated feedback and the most important changes suggested by the SendPhotos user community during three months of Beta testing into the new free public Beta 2 version of the software.
The Avanquest SendPhotos free photo sharing solution is driven by convergence between the Web, PC/Mac and mobile, combining the SendPhotos.com Internet site with a Mac plug-in, a PC client and a Mobile client with certified support for more than 160 telephones, including iPhone and BlackBerry, that lets users save, organize and share their digital memories from anywhere with their friends and loved ones.
Some of the most important changes based on user feedback and implemented to Avanquest SendPhotos Beta 2 by the solution's development teams include:
-- The Web client interface was completely revised to offer even more
intuitive and dynamic management of users' photos. The ergonomics of the
SendPhotos.com site have been improved, in order to better exploit the
possibilities of the Flex technology.
-- Acceptance of the iPhone and the creation of a specific plug-in for
iPhoto also led to changes to the SendPhotos.com site, in order to take
into account the expectations of Apple product users.
-- The SendPhotos Beta 2 version now natively manages the leading social
networks that are essential today for sharing photos.
As they develop the SendPhotos.com site, Avanquest Software teams continue to work to enhance the mobile offering of SendPhotos. Today, more than 160 mobile phones, including the Blackberry and the iPhone, give users the ability to upload and share photos with the "set it and forget it" simplicity SendPhotos provides.
The Avanquest SendPhotos photo-sharing solution, now available in the free public Beta 2 version, lets users instantly shares their photos with friends and loved ones, whether via the Web client 2.0, from their PC or Mac, or with one of 160 supported mobile phones, including the iPhone and BlackBerry.
Photo-sharing occurs in complete security, with images accessible only to the people invited to view or download them and no risk of their being located by Internet search engines or being distributed across the Web.
SendPhotos.com offers 1 Gb of free storage space, which corresponds to some 2,000 photos.* Users can share their shots with their friends, allow them to download them, or add images to friends' albums.
Avanquest SendPhotos lets users store all of the family's digital memories both on the computer and on the Internet, storing them safely.
The SendPhotos.com site offers a unique user experience, with a fluid and dynamic drag-and-drop system; it's the ideal starting point for sharing photos via SendPhotos or for sending them to social networks like MySpace, Picasa and many others.
Avanquest SendPhotos is available in French, English, Spanish, German and Italian; users can also insert a photoflow created with the application on an Internet site or blog. To see an example of this function, go to http://sendphotos.blogspot.com
The Beta 2 version of Avanquest SendPhotos is free of charge from the www.SendPhotos.com site, with 1 Gb of space provided free of charge, for about 2,000 photos.*
The PC, Mac and Mobile clients are available for downloading free from the site, or for Apple users via iTunes or the iPhone App Store.
