Amazon Offers Schools Free Use of Cloud

Amazon is offering universities free use of its cloud for research, advanced courses and possible new projects under a new AWS in Education program. Its eye on eventually replacing conventional academic investments in infrastructure, it's offering grants of $100 per student applicable to the use of its AWS infrastructure services in eligible courses at accredited universities.
