Description
We are looking for a strong development person or team to develope a web based Notification system which will send out specific e-mail or text messages (SMS) on an event driven basis. This notification system will be tied to our Manufacturing database which is in MySql on a Linux machine. This notification system will also need address book (similiar to Contacts) functionality to allow the users to enter e-mail addresses or SMS messages that will be delivered to phones. The overall application must be visually appealing as our external customers will have access to this web-based application to define when and how they will receive messages. Obviously we will expect standard error handling for our customers users experience. The application must be accessible from a standard browsers such as Explorer, Firefox and MAC. Finally the application must be written to accept license commands from our new licensing engine. The commands are very simple, if the license is valid they can access their version of the application. If not the entire application is locked out. For your reference we have included a rough draft of the fields that we would like to see on the Notification Editor Screen. Some of the fields will be database driven from the MySyq Database and the application must be able to read from the DB. The schema will be provided to the party that the project is awarded to.

We are looking for someone who has PHP, Java and MySql experience working on a Linux environment. Ideally the application will use Ajax to give it a smoother customer experience

There are 2 common questions that has been asked.

1. Yes we have multiple projects we are bidding out. Why? We are completely rebuilding our front end of our system. Everything that we bidding will work together on one system.

2. Yes for each project we will require the source code of the product we award out. Our goal is to find a select few who could build and deliver a new front end to our production systems.

Please note, we are removing the SMS component of the project. The system will only need to send standard e-mail messages to our users. We are still expecting the standard UI's that were discussed, error handling and web design to complete the entire project. Please adjust your bids accordingly.
