Windows Day Eventer
I require an application that can be installed as a Windows service onto Windows 2000/2003 servers.
The basic job of the application is to monitor the Windows event logs for red events and then lookup the event ID and the main text on Microsofts technet knowledge base (http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1)and then email the top ten articles relating to that event.
I would like to be able to let users exclude event ID's which they deem to be false positive. If this could be done via an easy to use interface possibly driven from the links within the email then this would be preferable.
I will leave it up to you coders on the language prefernece. The application will need an installer system and some sort of security to avoid copywrite theft.

I know how such things are done. I can make the service and a tool to exclude event IDs (and change other options) in two forms - executable and HTML. The copywrite problem can also be solved. As the application works online, would you like it to have "registration" mechanism similar to such in late MS products? You'll need a server that always works online and handle those registrations. I can make all software needed both for client (inside the application) and server side.
