Java SoundMODules Player: Developers and Designers wanted

Soundmodules (MODs) are music files that contain samples and replaying information. They are known e.g. from the Amiga(tm) and other computer systems and are able to offer high quality music togehter with small file sizes. The Java Sound Modules Player library is able to load, decode and replay such files using standard Java Sound. This library supports .MOD, .XM, .S3M, .IT and .ZIP module formats.

For further development of that project we're looking for following:
  • Developers to implement missing effects and functionalities
  • Developers to add new features and support for additional module formats
  • Testers for the (existing) code
  • Graphic designers for a nice webpage design instead of the boring current one
Developers information about what has to be done and how to participate at the project can be found at https://jmod.dev.java.net/#developer.

Skills Needed: J2ME, J2SE, Programming, Quality Assurance, Testing, Writing

NetBeans Laboratory Support needs help with Web Design (at most graphics)

The NetBeans Laboratory Support is a shortly started project to help students of engineering subjects to prepare their laboratory reports.

Now that the project is in approved and pending for incubation in the "Global Education & Learing Community" development is focused to get a first "Web Start" version onto the project homepage.

For this, I would appreciate some help:

  • to create an icon for Java Web Start
  • to create a splash screen
  • to create a "Launch via Java WebStart" button
  • to create a "Download as ZIP" button
  • to create a "Install Java and launch via WebStart" button
  • to create a logo and banner

Details can be found in the issue tracker.
