"I really liked the Useractive/U of I courses for a number of reasons:
- I could work on the courses at my own pace and whenever I had time. I have always worked odd hours and have two daughters to care for, so I worked on my course work late at night.
- The course work was well written and very thorough.
- The instructors were very helpful and quick to respond to questions.
- The Useractive set-up is a great reference to go back to whenever I need."     --

Everything you need to learn in one place online!

Great content, a responsive coach, and an interactive learning environment where you'll learn by doing!

Interested in learning JavaScript?

In this course, students will learn the basics of JavaScript programming and how to use it to suit their professional and creative goals. Students will learn how to trigger JavaScript programs with web-based events, such as a click or a mouse movement. They will discover the power of the JavaScript object/property tree and how to use it to manage and manipulate the elements of a web page. They will learn to use built-in methods, and to create their own methods that use inputs and parameters.

From beginning to end, participants will learn by doing their own Javascript based projects. These projects, as well as the final project, will add to the students portfolio and will contribute to their certificate completion.

Upon completion of the course, students will earn 4 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) and a CEU letter from the University of Illinois Office of Continuing Education. The University of Illinois is one of the most respected universities in the world.

This course counts towards a University of Illinois Web programming Certificate.

The Learn JavaScript course covers topics including StyleSheets, Layers, Positioning, Animation, Drag and Drop, Cross Browser programming, Browser detection and control, and more.
