The community for the Python programming language holds two conferences each year, one named "PyCon" in the United States and the other named "Europython" in Europe. They both circulate between different sites and rely upon volunteers from the community to make them happen.

These Python conferences bring together developers, designers and business people in the Python and Zope communities. There you will meet people who have just begun their journey into this world as well as the people who started it all.

You can expect to to enjoy inspirational talks and a friendly atmosphere, designed to help people build contacts and learn from each others' experiences. You will meet interesting people and have a pleasant time.

In 2005 PyCon was held in Washington D.C. and in 2006 will be in Dallas, Texas.

Europython, having started in Charleroi, Belgium, was held in Göteborg, Sweden in 2005 and will move to CERN in Swizerland for 2006.
