PHP on LQ Upgraded to 5.1.x
Dec 12, 2005 - 8:41 PM - by jeremy
While I usually don't announce system level changes, I felt this one was large enough to deserve it. As of about a minute ago we're now running PHP 5.1.x (up from 4.4.x). This upgrade should increase the performance of the site in general and will make a couple nice new features of PHP available to us. One of the main reasons I am announcing this is that due to the myriad changes from 4.4->5.1 we may be introducing new bugs here. We did make an effort to test this out on the dev site,... Dec 09, 2005 - 4:15 PM - by jeremy
The LQ news forum now syndicates all LXer news posts. This means you can discuss anything posted at LXer right here at LQ. Thanks to David for supporting the idea and Chris for coming up with it.

New LQ Features
Dec 03, 2005 - 11:47 AM - by jeremy
I had planned on releasing a list of new features available here, but I've decided against it. Why? I think I'd be more fun for members to go around and find them. If you find a new or improved feature, please post it in this thread and share it with your fellow LQ members. Thanks.
