HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS by Dan Shafer is not your ordinary CSS book. I have several books on CSS but never got past just putting up a stylesheet for text formatting and creating all my layouts in HTML tables, until now. I sat down yesterday morning and opened the book for the first time. By the end of the day, I had redesigned my entire site layout with a centered two-column design, completely using CSS. The book was easy to follow and had clear, easy to understand examples. A definite must-read.

The Flash Anthology has delivered where so many others have faltered. It maintains a careful balance between teaching by example while continually challenging and encouraging the reader to greater feats in Flash. Steve provides clear, customisable, and relevant solutions that can be "plugged and played" according to your needs regardless of your level expertise. This book conveys more usable information, in fewer pages, and at a lower cost than any other bloated and overpriced Flash book I have. Well done Steve and if this book has any bearing on what we can expect in future offerings, then where can I pre-order?"
