DIY Book Assembly Here's some really good photo documentation of binding books. Printing, threading and the part I was most interested in - making and gluing a cover. Put a nice coverage of glue on the spine of your signatures. I also like to put some glue on the inside of the cover along the spine, making a little side to side pattern. Try not to get any glue on the face of the pages or the inside covers. If you make a mess just wipe it up. [via] Link.

DVD Decrypter RIP?
I'm hoping the author can release/post the source in another country where the law permits more fair use (Google cache is still up)....The DVD Decrypter author has announced that he has been served with an order to cease his development of DVD Decrypter. The developer has been forced to hand over all source code and the domain that he was using. It is thought that it could be Sony who have served this notice, as it is rumoured that he broke their new copyright protection within 72 hours of its release. [via] Link.

Car Cam Project A Do-it-yourself "Need for speed" car camera project! I had a Logitech Quickcam Express webcam for 3 years which sucked all the time. It had a very poor video quality and didn’t work well in my dimmed room. So I decided to mount it in front of my car. He even uses the USB cam on a Mac with the open source drivers (iSight not needed) Link.
