Announcing the jugs-incubator: where JUGs new to java.net prepare their projects for the world challenges

https://jugs-incubator.dev.java.net/

The JUGs Community is launching the jugs-incubator project. JUGs that want to host their project in java.net now have a place and time to better prepare their participation. The incubator will allow for faster approval of JUG projects, since they can be approved right on, before their project is ready. Once JUGs take the time to learn and configure their java.net project, they can then graduate from the incubator. Come visit the JUGs that are right now in the jugs-incubator! You will also learn easy steps the will help you improve your own project.

He lives on Java (the island), speak the Java language (the real one), and runs both a Java User Group and a Java based company. Too much Java for you?
Making a difference -- Vietnamese developers help changing JDK 1.5

http://www.javavietnam.org/javavn/mvnforum/viewthread?thread=1530

Brian Beck, from Sun, acknowledges that the strong demand received from Vietnamese developers helped "bend the rules" on the release of JDK 1.5.
This is a strong example on how JUGs can help shape the future of Java.

<p>Brian said that:

"[...] by [Sun's] normal rules it would be too late to add
Vietnamese support to 1.5. However, because of the very strong demand
we have received [...], I have received approval to
"bend" the rules some what."

<p>Congratulations to JavaVietnam for the great organizational work, and many thanks to Sun form understanding the importance of Java User Groups.
