Issues Browser project seeks lead!
The Glazed Lists demo program is called "IssuesBrowser" which is a rich client for viewing an Issuezilla database (as used by java.net). Run the IssuesBrowser via web start.
We are seeking a Java developer who would like to lead this project on its own. There are two major components:
the IssueZilla connector. Currently it reads issues via an XML cgi script. Write capability should be added to make issue changes via simple HTTP Post requests
the rich client front end. Read-only front-ends exist already for both Swing and SWT. A write-capable front-end needs to be created
This project has potential to be a very popular Java application. The issues browser is already better than the web front-end for reading issues, but it has a long way to go!
Skills Needed: J2SE, Swing, Web Services and XML
