Issues Browser project seeks lead!
The Glazed Lists demo program is called "IssuesBrowser" which is a rich client for viewing an Issuezilla database (as used by java.net). Run the IssuesBrowser via web start.

We are seeking a Java developer who would like to lead this project on its own. There are two major components:

  • the IssueZilla connector. Currently it reads issues via an XML cgi script. Write capability should be added to make issue changes via simple HTTP Post requests
  • the rich client front end. Read-only front-ends exist already for both Swing and SWT. A write-capable front-end needs to be created

This project has potential to be a very popular Java application. The issues browser is already better than the web front-end for reading issues, but it has a long way to go!

Skills Needed: J2SE, Swing, Web Services and XML
