As part of the
IETF
MARID Working Group last call for comments, the
Apache Software Foundation has sent the working group
an open letter
detailing why the patent licensing of the Sender ID specification
will prevent ASF projects from implementing and deploying software
that supports the Sender ID specification.
The Apache Portable Runtime Project
(APR) is proud to announce the release of APR version 1.0.0. APR's mission is
to create and maintain software libraries that provide a predictable and
consistent interface to underlying platform-specific implementations. Please
see the announcement and feel free to download 1.0.0. You can also see what projects already use APR.
